Engineering Clarity Into Complex Decisions

Lau Systems Group is an independent systems engineering and decision-intelligence practice founded by Milton Lau. We connect engineering, analytics, system architecture, modeling, and design to help organizations make better decisions.

Milton Lau, MS Engineering & MBA

Founder | Systems Architect

Milton is a systems architect, engineer, and strategic operations leader focused on helping people make better decisions inside complex systems. Over more than two decades at Intel, he designed and led operational analytics, simulation, planning, visualization, and decision-support systems used within one of the world’s most sophisticated manufacturing networks.

He is the inventor of Effective Utilization (Ue), Intel’s first real-time, factory-wide decision-support platform. His work combines engineering rigor with usability, visual communication, and a practical bias toward systems people can actually use.

Built for Complex Operating Environments

Our work is deliberately industry-agnostic. Different industries repeatedly face the same underlying problems: too much information, disconnected systems, competing constraints, institutional knowledge, and metrics that describe performance without making the next action clear.

When needed, Lau Systems Group can assemble experienced engineering, operations, software, data science, and industry specialists around the problem.
